The Atomium is a landmark building in Brussels, originally constructed for the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair. It’s 102M tall contains 9, 18 diameters stainless steel sphere connected to each other, so that the whole forms the shape of a unit cell of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times.
You can reserve and buy a ticket online at http://www.atomium.be/ticket. There is a different price for kids, adults, and students. If you are a student don’t forget your ID card.
Atomium
Usually, this place is crowded especially on weekend. So first you have to wait in a long queue for the Panorama view of the whole Brussels and other cities from the 7th floor. They take you there by lift and then you can view the whole city from there. You can stay as long as you want.
After that you can visit the Expo center starting from first floor, they have a cool history of Atomium, its architecture, design and concept. Apart from that, they have some models and exhibition.
To go to another floor there is cool long accelerator with the concept of design, You will like it when you are at the accelerator. A glimpse of the accelerator.
There are some cool music and environment that you can enjoy at Atomium. There are unique concept and design.
The place is very lovely and amazing for the weekend and to spend time. Apart from that at the top floor, there is a restaurant as well and you can book in advance if you want to enjoy food over there, or if you are going for a romantic date or business meeting. The place offer priority access to people who have a restaurant reservation.
How to Reach:
The Place is very close to Heysel Metro station, so you can take a train to Heysel Metro Station, Train No. 6 from Rogier or Simonis Metro station goes to Heysel. You can take buses as well, Hop on and hop off buses are also a good option.
The place is cool and perfect spot for a visit, Nearby there is Mini – Europe (Will write about it in the next blog post). and ADAM. Atomium is in the park and there is an Expo center as well nearby. Cool place to visit with family and kids. Phocentric place, have cool photos and enjoy.
