Ancient Kourion: Archeological Site

Kourion Archaeological Site is located near Episkopi Village, west of the city of Limassol, within the Limassol district of Cyprus.  It’s considered one of the most impressive archaeological sites on the island and very famous among tourist.

It was an important city-kingdom in Cyprus before but destroyed due to series of massive earthquakes. Now you can only see the remains of the some part of that kingdom like Agora (Market), Basilica (Church), Public Bath and most important the Ancient Kourion theatre.

This place contains history from old times. The mosaic floors can be seen at lot of places and are now well preserved. The logo of Cyprus University of Technology (Limassol) is taken from here I think as I noticed when I was visiting this place.
